How do you sort any high heels or platform shoes or sandals?

I knew the shoes and sandals can be open-toe on foot or closed-toe with or without straps. However, I often see open-toe high heels in a closed-back labeled as sandals rather than as the shoes and sometimes I see the open-toe high heels with an open back labeled as pumps and as sandals.

Technically, the first is correct, the second is not. The open toe high heels in a closed-back peep-toes are. The open toe high heel with an open back is a sandal, but it has a strap is a sling-back.
